Our Program
Life-On-Life Training
At its core, the BSL program is a mentoring, whole-life approach to developing godly servant-hearted leaders.
While we provide sound biblical courses, BSL is relationally-driven rather than curriculum-driven.
At the heart of BSL is a commitment to developing humble, godly servant-leaders.
As Jesus Himself pointed out in the Gospels, leaders the world over are committed to a "chieftain" style of leadership, whether they lead in the political realm, the business world, or in churches or non-profit organisations.
Jesus' teaching on servant-leadership stands in marked contrast to this.
You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them,
and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you.
Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,
and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all.
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve,
and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Jesus Christ (Mark 10:42-45)
A Rich Learning Experience
What the curriculum provides is a biblical framework for transformational mentoring to take place.
The BSL program is built around leadership cohorts, where church leaders journey together as a group
of 20-30 leaders for two years. This allows them to build life-long relationships as they learn and grow together.

Woven into the design of BSL are four one-week modules
that cohorts go through together over two years.
The four modules are highly practical and deeply biblical,
modeling how to handle the Scriptures well
and how to teach the principles to others.
Each module provides life-changing learning opportunities through listening to lectures, Bible study,
personal reflections, group discussion, theological readings,
and mutual mentoring.
At the end of each module, each leader returns to their churches and trains others with the principles they have been taught.
The six-month break between each module allows adequate
time for this training to take place, but more importantly,
it gives time for the lessons to permeate their own lives,
character, and leadership.
Module 1:
Servanthood
Serving Like Jesus
and Barnabas
(The Gospels & Acts)

Module 2:
Leadership
Leading Like
Nehemiah
(Book of Nehemiah)

Module 3:
Mentorship
Mentoring Like

(2 Timothy)

Module 4:
Character
Leading and Living
Differently
(Sermon on the Mount)

I’m very grateful for this training. I’ve been pastoring for 35 years,
I’ve attended Bible School and taught at schools of ministry,
but I have not seen an impact like I have been getting through this training.
Because this training shows you the exact things you’re supposed to do and how to do them.
And you can pass these things on to someone else and you know you’re leaving a legacy behind.
